This past week I had the pleasure of getting together with some friends for an afternoon of swimming and lunch. I had been wanting to make some smores inspired snack, so I thought that this would be a perfect addition to our summertime afternoon.

So, I got a little behind on my posting, but this was a cake that I enjoyed doing a for an adorable 3 year old girl. I was really excited to do this cake because I went to college with her mom and after 9 years, it was great to reconnect with cake!

4th of July Kickoff!

This week I started working on a bunch of projects that I've had on my inspiration list. I've started with 4th of July cookies. The first, snow cones, was inspired by Nanny's Sugar Cookies.

Bubble Theme Birthday Party

This past weekend, I had the honor of making not one, but 2 birthday cakes for a very special birthday girl. Good friends, Sarah and Ed, celebrated their daughter's first birthday with a super cute theme... bubbles! I made a chocolate bubble cake and since there were 60 guests, I made a second vanilla cake to coordinate with the invitation.

Happy Father's Day

I'd like to wish all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day. I am especially proud of my hubby, Mike who is an amazing daddy to our daughter, Amelia. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be able to make all my tasty treats.

Today I sent the tool cookies with my hubby to share with all the other dads at work.

This weekend, I had the please of making treats for a special birthday boy who loves Scooby Doo. I made The Mystery Mobile cookies for favors, ghost cupcakes and of course Scooby himself for the cake. Happy Birthday, Logan!

Kickoff to Summer!

This week I had some fun "assignments" that helped put a smile on my face and bring a little sunshine to my kitchen. Checkout this pool party cake. The little bears are made from Teddy Grahams and the palm trees are bread sticks. I sure hope the birthday girl likes it!

Baby Boy Shower Cake & Cookies

This weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for my best friend, Sharon. I did an elephant theme and incorporated her ultrasound pictures into the details. Everything turned out beautiful and we all had a great time. And most importantly, Baby D has everything he needs for his arrival!

Toy Story Baby Shower

This week I had the pleasure of making some special treats for a mom-to-be. All items were gluten free and decorated to go with the Toy Story theme.
